About Dune: Part Three
Dune: Part Three reaches cinemas on Friday 18 December 2026, completing the trilogy Denis Villeneuve began in 2021. Where the first two films adapted Frank Herbert's original novel, this one turns to its sequel, Dune Messiah — the book that deliberately dismantles the hero it spent the first novel building.
Timothée Chalamet returns as Paul Atreides, with Zendaya as Chani, Javier Bardem as Stilgar, Florence Pugh as Princess Irulan and Anya Taylor-Joy as Alia. Robert Pattinson joins the cast for the final chapter. Warner Bros. and Legendary are releasing the film worldwide.
The date has become an event in itself. Marvel's Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for the same Friday, a collision fans have already nicknamed "Dunesday" — two of the year's largest films opening head to head in the middle of the holiday season.
