Avengers: Doomsday Countdown
Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled for December 18, 2026. It is the next Marvel Studios production after Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which is a Sony Pictures release co-produced with Marvel Studios. Joe and Anthony Russo direct, with Robert Downey Jr. returning to the franchise in a new role as Victor Von Doom.
The film was previously dated for May 2026 and was moved to December, a shift widely attributed to targeting the Christmas corridor. It now opens on the same day as Warner Bros.' Dune: Part Three, a collision fans have nicknamed "Dunesday."
Kevin Feige has confirmed that Spider-Man: Brand New Day sits before Doomsday on the MCU timeline. Spider-Man was absent from the announced Doomsday cast list. Chris Evans is confirmed to return as Steve Rogers. Avengers: Secret Wars follows on December 17, 2027 and is intended to close out the Multiversal Saga.
